Strike cripples life in Mahottari

BARDIBAS, May 13: Life in Mohattari district has remained crippled from today in response to the indefinite banda called by Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Rajan group).

The underground armed outfit has imposed the banda demanding release of its 10 cadres serving jail sentence at the District Police Office, Mohattari,

Transportation, educational institutions and market have remained closed due to the shut down.

From early morning today, vehicles plying on Bardibas-Jaleshwor route have remained off the road. Traffic in Jaleshowr, Matihani, Bhittamod, Janakpur, Samsi and Sitapur has also affected. However, vehicles on the East-West Highway have been plying.

The Morcha has said that the band will continue until its cadres were released.
